Appointments to the Board of the Family Support Agency
In April of this year, Frances Fitzgerald TD, Minister for Children & Youth Affairs announced the appointment of Ms. Norah Gibbons as first Chairperson of the board of the new Child & Family Agency. Ms. Gibbons will initially be appointed as Chairperson of the existing Family Support Agency which is one of the agencies being incorporated into the new Child & Family Agency.

Major Education Seminar - Leading in a Time of Challenge
Seminar for DEIS Primary & Post-Primary School Leaders
On 19th April the NEWB supported by IPPN and NAPD hosted a seminar for DEIS primary and post-primary school leaders in Croke Park. The NEWB has responsibility for critical supports in DEIS schools - namely HSCL and SCP. The Educational Welfare Service has a national remit where DEIS is prioritised.
